From its humble beginnings rehearsing in what was known as the ‘Tin School’ on Pitt Street in Barnsley, Barnsley Concert Band is celebrating half a century of music making, entertaining audiences and forging friendships to last a lifetime along the way. Barnsley Concert Band is proud to present a 50th Anniversary Gala Concert where the existing band will be joined by past members, conductors, and friends from over the years in what will be a very special evening. The programme will include band favorites from the last fifty years as well as popular up to date arrangements across several music genres. We will be rekindling memories as well as making new ones and looking forward to the next fifty years. Come and join in the celebration!
